One Bad Day at a Time

I consider myself to be a pretty positive person. Mostly. I'm not perfect. Things get to me every now and then. But, you see, I made a promise to myself many moons ago, probably around the age of 16 or 17. that I'd never have two bad days in a row. So, I let myself take a break from the world, feel sorry for myself if I must. Because, the next day, I'll do whatever it takes to have a good one. Some things I like to do to cheer myself up include:
  • Exercise-This past week I had to force myself into sub degree temps, but it was totally worth it!
  • Baking-I've made cookies twice this past week, which is part of the reason I had to force myself to the gym (wink).
  • Getting out of the house, even if it's just to take my kids to school.
  • Shopping-Even if it's not really in my budget, I'll allow myself a small $5.00 purchase. Like these cute beanies I got on sale at Charming Charlie!

So, what sort of things do you do to cheer yourself up after a bad day?!?!
