The other night I laid awake thinking about the long day I just had, and the one that was about to ensue the next day. I couldn't fall asleep. I was restless. Finally I decided to cuddle up next to my sleeping husband, and listen to his heartbeat. This usually calms me down. Takes my mind off everything else, and I begin to count the beats. Before I know it I am fast asleep.

We all have are own ways of winding down. Things we do before we go to bed to help are bodies know it's time.

My husband likes to read. Me? Not so much. I like to talk. About anything and everything. I snapped this picture one night before bed.

What do you do to tell yourself it's time to sleep? Anything? You might not even realize it. Yet! Tonight before you go to bed you will;)

I hope everyone has a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

So, last night I was woken by a kid who had peed his pants. After getting him new clothes and bed sheets, I went back to bed. I always have a hard time falling back asleep after I've been woken-up in the middle of the night and this time was no exception. As I was lying there trying to fall asleep, I was reminded of your blog and thought about what I do to help me fall asleep. I go through the alphabet and name an animal or fruit or name, etc. that begins with each letter. I'm usually asleep by M. It worked (but not until Q).

I like to play tetris. Isn't that weird. Every night I play tetris on my sons game boy for about 10 minutes. And then I drift off to sleep. : )

Tetris! I love tetris! The last week or so I've been playing brick braker on his phone while he reads. It's not as fun as tetris. But it will do.
